Orange Upside Down Cake

Also known as Satrangi Bhog named by Sanjay Singla.

Recipe Ingredients

Ingredient Weight
Pillsbury™ Egg Free Tea Time Vanilla Premix 1000 gm
Orange zest of Half orange
Orange essence 1 - 2 drops
Water 450 g
Refined oil 120 gm
For Upside down
Sugar 250 gm
Oranges 2

Preparation

  1. Slice the orange into thin slices.
  2. Caramelise the sugar and butter. Pour immediately into the mould.
  3. Place orange slices over it. Keep aside.
Orange Cake Method:
  1. 1st gear using paddle attachment.
  2. Mix premix, orange zest, water and oil together
  3. Scrape the side and bottom of the bowl.
  4. Mix again for 3 minutes in 2nd gear.
  5. Pour the batter in the mould till half of the mould. 7. Bake at 170 C for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Rest the cake for 2-3 minutes after baking.
  7. Ready to server once it’s cool down.
