Modern Christmas Yule Log with Milk Choco Crunchy Center

For the Sponge:
Pillsbury™ Egg Free Chocolate Premix | 500gm |
Water | 280gm |
Oil | 25gm |
For Truffle:
Amul Cream | 300gm |
Dark chocolate | 300gm |
For Milk Chocolate Crunchy:
Melted Milk Chocolate | 300gm |
Cornflakes (Crushed) | 75gm |
Amul Cream | 100gm |
Preparation
For the Sponge:
- Add the premix and water to a mixing bowl.
- Use a flat blade and mix for a minute at Speed 1.
- Scrape the sides and mix at Speed 2 for 3 mins.
- Now, add oil and mix for another minute.
- Use a long rectangular tray for the ideal Yule Log shape.
- Bake at: 170°C
- Bake for: 30 mins
For Truffle:
- Warm the cream and chop the dark chocolate.
- Make the truffle by mixing the two.
For Milk Chocolate Crunchy:
- Add the crushed cornflakes and milk chocolate to a bowl.
- Now, add the warm Amul cream and mix again until they emulsify perfectly.
Assembling for the Yule Log:
- Place the thin sheet of Choco Sponge.
- Spread the Truffle on top of Sponge as a layer on top.
- Spread the Milk Chocolate Crunchy on top of the Truffle layer.
- Now, start rolling it tightly in the shape of swiss roll.
- Refrigerate.
Tips
- Method for Garnishing: Decorate around the log using the original concept of wood. This can be done by chocolate shavings as shown or in your own style.
